Glenrock Gardens is an award winning country garden set in the high country of New England in the historic and pretty town of Tenterfield, NSW, Australia. It is the perfect venue for all events including weddings, workshops and garden tours and spectacular in all of the four well - defined seasons. The 10-acre gardens were voted the Best Australian Garden by the viewers and readers of Better Homes and Gardens in 2006. They are incorporated within a working farm and although the gardens are very much designed in the English style with dry stone rock walls throughout, they are also surrounded and interspersed with iconic Australian bushland. A succession of lakes divide the parkland, the northern prairie borders and woodland gardens with the terraces, croquet lawns, spring borders and double borders. 

Private or public tours (guided are available) are welcome throughout Spring, Summer and Autumn, however the gardens are closed each winter for repairs and maintenance. Due to the size of the garden, a duration of 1 to 2 hours is recommended. An electric 4 seater buggy is also available for use for the less mobile.

The 10 acre gardens, which are divided up into varying rooms, each possess their own charm and ambience and are interconnected with pretty walkways, arbours and woodland walks. 

The lakes bisect the gardens and create wonderful reflections and views; they are a welcome respite on a hot Summer's day! The flowers and foliage are punctuated by pops of our iconic electric blue colour in the form of garden art, gates and chairs.

There are now purpose-built toilet facilities available, a Tesla electric vehicle charging station, an electric golf buggy for use and plenty of room for parking, including buses.

Private Events

Glenrock can host private events for couples or small groups of family and friends for special celebrations that may range from, engagements, anniversaries and birthdays.

Host your special event in any location within the gardens including our undercover events venue, The Barn.

Group gatherings & workshops

Glenrock Gardens are renown for their beauty and charm and have been used for many differing events over the years. This includes conferences, christmas parties, outdoor workshops, reunions, fundraisers, small markets, Autumn celebrations (for which Tenterfield is known), summer picnics by the lake, photography workshops, painting workshops, birdwatching days, croquet competitions, outdoor yoga group sessions, and of course, garden tours. We cater to groups of any size depending on the event. There is plenty of parking for cars and buses.

Glenrock Gardens welcomes commercial photographers and film directors to our stunning garden location in the New England highlands. Whether you’re looking for a unique backdrop for portrait photography or a movie set shoot location, Glenrock offers affordable deals for private access to shoot or film at Glenrock Gardens. 
With Glenrock opening our gates to photographers and filmmakers, there is no reason to limit yourself to suburban areas or the studio with an area of open aired areas with big willows to wisteria covered shade. Features of Glenrock include:
