Public Garden Tour

  • Glenrock Gardens 84 Robinsons Lane Tenterfield, NSW, 2372 Australia (map)

This is a unique opportunity for couples or a small group to combine with other people to experience a personalised guided walking tour of one of Australia’s finest country gardens. For the Tour to be undertaken, a minimum number of 10 people will be required. Therefore, we cannot guarantee your booking until the minimum number of visitors has been reached.

The cost for Public Garden Tours is $20 per person. This includes:

  1. Exclusive access to Glenrock Gardens and its facilities (ie. disabled, male & female toilets)

  2. A backup wet weather meeting location overlooking the gardens;

  3. A personalised guided walking tour throughout the gardens with one of the owners which lasts approximately 1.5-2 hours, your entire visit will likely last approximately 3-4 hours.

  4. A golf buggy, which can access most areas of the garden, is available for those less mobile in the group. This would have to be arranged and completed separately from the walking tour.

  5. A nursery filled with hard-to-find, old-fashioned, perennials and shrubs (you can see the plants insitu in the gardens as well). Leave ample time to wander through the nursery where you can purchase your plants of choice.

Our most popular food option for Garden Tours is our Gourmet Lunch Boxes at $30 per person, prepared fresh on the morning of your arrival. The Gourmet Lunch Boxes are not only delicious & filling...they were made with garden lovers in mind. Made to eat all at once or save some items for later, those in the group that would prefer to eat in the garden, on the veranda or stay in the barn, these lunch boxes are portable and can be enjoyed wherever and whenever your group members would like. Our Gourmet Lunch Boxes include a Gourmet Baguette (GF Wraps are available) filled with delicious house-made fillings, seasonal fruit salad, Summersnow sparkling or still juice, and a gourmet pastry. Please let us know of any dietary requirements or allergies ahead of schedule so that those people can be accommodated if required.

“Glenrock Gardens” are rather large and so we recommend an approximate time period of 1-2 hours, but if you take your time, 3 hours can easily slip by. Of course, sensible shoes, a hat and an umbrella (for inclement weather) are recommended.

Please email bookings@glenrockgardens.com.au to make a reservation and we will do our very best to accommodate you.
